Golden Wooden Trophies for the Sexual Freedom Awards 1996 – 2018

Emily and the Balinese woodcarving community, with whom she has worked for over 25 years, supplied their famous Golden Penis Trophies to the Sexual Freedom Awards held in London again this year. This is the 22nd year that they have supported this charity catering to physically, sensory and socially disabled people. In total that is around four hundred hand-carved and gilded wooden trophies which are eagerly awaited every year. Phallic images symbolise life itself in Hindu culture so the Balinese woodcarvers are always keen to take on this commission.
